From November of this year to January 29th of next a series of milestone will have taken place. These milestones as the pass are cause for pause and reflection. December 1st marked a year at my apartment. It's only the second time in my life that I have truly lived alone. When I moved in here last year I was utterly lost and afraid. My first week was cold as the heat wasn't on yet which intensified my solitude. I was depressed and hurt, more so than in a very long time. I dreaded each day.
My what a difference a year can make. This place feels like home.
